RaeArt Abstract Cubism Painting in tempera/acrylic VALUE painting
Students will
- Learn and create a color wheel
- Understand color relationships and how they affect an artist
- Learn how to mix colors with just the primary colors plus black and white
- Create a monochromatic value study applying tints and shades
- Study the YouTube artist Raeart
- Explore graffiti art and the 2D application of abstract art
- Learn about Cubism and how to draw in the cubist/Picasso style of art
- Create an independent abstract tempera painting utilizing influences by Picasso and Raeart as well as reflect, analyze and create VALUE, overlapping and depth in their work.
Art History Friday Artist: Robert Indiana (LOVE artist) in honor of Valentines Day along with Tyree Guyton, African-American Artist of the week in honor of Black History Month.
6th Grade: Cubism Paintings
Students will:
- Learn and create a color wheel
- Understand color relationships and value in painting
- Learn about the artist Pablo Picasso and the style of art CUBSIM
- Create an independent creative, self-expressive cubism drawing & painting:)
- Selected artists will continue to paint a Bob Ross Landscape in Oil on their self-built canvases
- Students will have a shortened Art History Friday as a review
- Student Progress Art Critique Friday

CS 2: 1- 3, 5
CS 3: 1-3
CS 4: 1, 2
